AT OUR FIRST NIGHT'S CAMP, below Yuma Point, Roger, Stan and Barb work at filtering drinking water from rain pockets in the rock. It hadn't rained in a week, and the water contained so much algae that it quickly clogged the filter, so we ended up boiling it instead. During boiling, the green stuff foamed up to the top and was easily skimmed off. Here's a video clip that was shot at about the same time. Prev. | Next
