ONE REWARD of hiking the Tonto Trail are the views of the Colorado a thousand feet below. This is halfway between Copper and Bass canyons as we headed east on the Tonto during the final day of our 1994 trip. That's Shinumo Rapids below, and Dox Castle is the point just right of center.
